Siedaar is run by Ian Stiglingh in South Africa, who is responsible for the information below. Questions go to ian@siedaar.com.
What we collect
Only what you type into our forms: your name, organisation and email, and your message or role. Our forms are for adults. If you're under 18, please ask a parent or teacher to get in touch for you.
Why we ask
To reply to your enquiry, or to email you about the lesson packs if you asked us to. We don't sell or share your details, and we won't add you to anything you didn't ask for. Every email about the packs has a way to stop them.
Where it's kept, and for how long
In the email and form tools we run for this site, on servers that may be outside South Africa. We keep an enquiry for up to two years after we last spoke, and your place on the lesson-pack list until you leave it or ask us to delete it.
Visits to this site
We count visits with Umami, which runs on our own server. It records which pages were viewed, which site sent you here, your country and your type of device, and which episodes were played. It uses no cookies, doesn't store your IP address and can't tell who you are.
Episodes on this site
Episodes play in a YouTube player. Nothing loads from YouTube until you press play. Once you do, YouTube's own privacy policy applies to that video, and YouTube may store data on your device.
Your choices
Ask us to see, change or delete what we hold about you at any time: email ian@siedaar.com. If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to South Africa's Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za.
